| Prerequisite: Current public safety certification or current EMT certification. Must be completed by completion of Fire Fighter I Academy. EMT course work may be taken concurrently with Fire Fighter I Academy but must be completed and a certificate issued by the completion of the Basic Fire Fighter I Academy. Limitation on enrollment: Current affiliation with a fire service agency and proof of completion of a breathing apparatus "fit test", and ability to provide protective clothing (turn-out gear) and medical clearance by a licensed physician or physician's assistant to wear a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). | ||||
