Summer Schedule of Classes, 2008

Non-Credit Classes

The college offers a limited number of  non-credit classes  on campus. Registration forms may be picked up at the Office of Admissions and Records (AC-112). For on-campus non-credit classes, students are required to complete all the credit offerings in an activity before they are eligible to enroll in the non-credit activity.

Transcript Request

Transcript request forms may be picked up at the Office of Admissions and Records or on the web and faxed to 791-2349.  Students have the right to notify the college that their date of birth (DOB) not be included on their transcripts.  DOB is a very useful identifier, and students are encouraged to have it displayed on their transcript.  However, under the law, students have a right to choose that this particular item not be displayed on their college transcript.

Education Privacy Rights of Students

A Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (Section - 438, Public Law 93-380) gives students three important rights:

  • the right to inspect their student records,
  • the right to challenge incorrect information in those records, and
  • the right to keep their student records private.

The law authorizes the release of directory information in the absence of student objection including name, address, date and place of birth, major field of study, current class schedule, and participation in activities, dates of attendance, degrees and awards, and last institution attended. Contact the Office of Admissions and Records for further information.
