Online courses are designed for the student who wishes to take advantage of the flexibility offered by this type of instruction.

Students taking online courses must verify email address at registration. During the first day of class check email for further instructions by the instructor.

Online Course Registration Instructions

Steps to Enroll in an Online Course

Step 1: Take the online orientation at http://www.portervillecollege.edu/online_courses/online_orientation.

Step 2: Take the assessment test if you are a new student and plan to take an English or math class. Refer to the assessment information online or call (559) 791-2329 for assessment information.

Step 3: We strongly recommend that you meet with a counselor to assess your goals and select appropriate courses. Call (559) 791-2329 to make an appointment with a counselor or advisor.

Step 4: Register for your class using Web registration or come to the campus for walk-in registration.

Step 5: While registering for your class, verify the accuracy of your email address and correct if necessary. Your instructor will not be able to contact you if your email address is missing or incorrect, and you may be dropped from the class.

Step 6: Look for an email from your instructor that should arrive by the first day of your class. This email will contain information on when and how to access your online class. NOTE: The email may be flagged as spam so also check your spam folders.
