New Feature - Electronic Waitlist
The electronic waitlist feature replaces instructor-signed "add-slips" and allows students from an established waitlist to be moved into a class when seats become available. It is truly a first-come, first-served system.
Students trying to register for classes that are closed will be able to select Waitlist as an option. During the weeks prior to the start of classes, as vacancies occur in classes, the first student(s) on the waitlist will be moved into the class.
Students moving from waitlist to registered status will be sent an email notification, therefore, it is important to keep email addresses current in BanWeb and with the Admissions and Records Office.
In addition, students on a waitlist should check their registration regularly on the web. They have ten (10) days to pay for the class once they have been moved to registered status. Students will not be charged the enrollment fees for waitlist classes until they are actually enrolled in the class.
Students should use the waitlist to ensure themselves a chance of getting into the classes they want. Students on waitlists must attend the first meeting of the class or they will be dropped from the waitlist. The prerequisite, basic skills, time conflicts and repeat checks will prevent ineligible students from moving into the classes. Students may drop themselves from a waitlist at any time.
Things to remember:
- If you place yourself on a waitlist, please make sure to update your email address in BanWeb or at the Admissions and Records office.
- You can not place yourself on more than one waitlist for any one course.
- Prerequisites will be checked and are checked at the time grades are inputted from fall to spring.
- Make sure to pay your fee or that your fee waiver is in the system otherwise you will be dropped 10 days from registering for the class.
- Registration is the point that you are rolled into a class from the waitlist list.
- Drop yourself from a waitlist of a course you do not want to enroll in.
